Contains photographs of the following military unit and organization: Army Ordnance Corps; U.S. Army Materiel Command. General description of the collection: The William G. T. Tuttle photograph collection consists of only the years of his final assignment as Commanding General, United States Army Materiel Command, 1989-1991. Within these boxes are photos of General Tuttle's visits to many Army sites, among them Watervliet Arsenal, Yuma Proving Ground, and Aberdeen Proving Ground. Within those groupings are some good photos of the facilities, both exterior and interior, and heavy armor equipment. There are also photos of social affairs, certificate and medal presentations, the activities at a Materiel Command picnic, and general officer's wives functions. There are a few photos of General Tuttle's retirement ceremonies as well.

Gilbert Townsend Tuttle, Jr., was a United States (U.S.) Army officer. He graduated from the United States Military Academy (USMA) in 1958.
